Fabulous in every way, over the top service and friendly, helpful staff. This is the best option by far for a hotel adjacent to the main sights of Valletta and it is literally across the street from the central bus station which will get you all over the island of Malta. Perhaps my best 5 star hotel experience ever.

This is truly a grand hotel in the best tradition of luxury travel. The location is excellent, the service high class and the building elegant and impressive. The experience starts as soon as you arrive. We were greeted by Craig, the epitome of the style and character of the hotel. We loved breakfast on the terrace, sometimes served by Anna or Rose who were always charming and attentive. My morning highlight was getting a freshly cooked omelette from the egg station. I greatly admired the cooks working in the heat and confinement. Unfortunately I did not record any names. It was very hot during our stay and therefore we spent a lot of time at the pool, which is outstanding. The service at the sunbeds and in the restaurant is excellent. We saw Aaron and Qian most days and were always grateful for how attentive they were making sure we were always kept in the shade. Unfortunately I cannot remember the name of the gentleman who took our cases and helped us into the taxi when we left but, as with Craig, he personified the professionalism of all the staff and we can't wait to return to The Phoenicia and resume our wonderful experience.

What a wonderful stay! The Phoenicia has an amazing, classic hotel feel, without being stuffy or overbearing. The staff were so attentive and friendly. The Contessa (restaurant) was superb (I recommend the grilled sea bass for two). And the Concierge service (thank you Mario and Robert) was outstanding. The rooms were spacious but intimate. I appreciated all the added amenities. During your stay, you must spend some time at the Bastion Pool. The food was amazing and the view from the infinity pool were amazing. Also, take in the afternoon tea. It was one of the best I've ever had. The location really made the hotel perfect for getting to know Valletta and the surrounding areas.

Wonderful experience . Excellent staff . Facilities second to none. Level of service was impressive and location perfect to access all highlights of Valletta. Hotel lives up to its reputation as a Luxury destination, value for money. Would highly recommend for a luxury stay.
